In terms of my Narrative to my chosen song (I'm a mess) I have decided to create a linear narrative, of a developing story. At the beginning of the song, I want the protagonist Dan to be shown sad and alone, then as the story progresses I want flashbacks to the happier times when Dan is with his girlfriend Zoe. Within these first stages of the video I want the emotion of the actors shown through the use facial expressions, lighting and editing. Furthering this, in the story Dan and Zoe will come to blows resulting in them breaking up after a argument in a public setting. The final stages of the video will show Dan once again alone and depressed about his circumstances so then takes drastic measures to cure his loneliness by attempting suicide but Zoe saves him just in time.
The whole ideology behind the video is based on love and the typical Romeo and Juliet love story, as I want to look at all the emotions gone through whilst been in a relationship and how love is actually portrayed and seen in ordinary everyday lives.
